In John 8:51, Jesus tells people to obey His word, and love one another. The Lord Jesus is the Word made flesh, and He is the Word of God that exists from the beginning till forever. As I understand the Lord is the Word, I associate the existence of the word to human communication. The Word is the expression of the Father Himself that represents the presence of the Holy Trinity in constant communication. Therefore, I believe by obeying the words of Jesus, I am responding to the Heavenly Father’s love, in communion with the Lord, sharing the eternal life, and will never see death.
若8：51中，耶稣要人们遵行祂的话，要我们彼此相爱。主耶稣就是圣言成了血肉，祂是起初就存在的上主的“话语”直到永远。当我以上主的“话语”来了解，就联想到“话语”是为与人沟通而存在。耶稣圣言即是天父自身的表达，也代表着圣三紧密交流的存在。所以，我认为遵行耶稣的话的人，就是回应对天父的爱，在主内共融，获得永生，永远见不到死亡。
