In John 13:21 of today’s gospel reading, Jesus knew that Judas was a false believer. However, rather than blatantly calling him out as a traitor, Jesus subtly mentions that one of them in the group will betray Him.
If you have ever been betrayed by someone you once held close to your heart, you would understand the pain it inflicts on the heart, just as Jesus understood.
The ultimate lesson to learn here is that all of us need to be cleansed by Christ. No one can be saved unless his sins are washed away in Christ’s precious blood. Nothing else can make us clean or acceptable before God.
在今天的若望福音 13:21，耶稣知道犹达斯是位假信徒。但耶稣却没公然讲他叛徒，耶稣低调提起门徒中有一位会背叛祂。
如果你曾被近人背叛过，你会了解它带来的伤痛，就如耶稣一样了解。
这里最主要的教训是我们每个人都需要被基督洁净。依靠基督圣血可以洗净任何人的罪过并得救。没有任何其他东西可以洁净我们，或让天主接受我们。
